Here is the easy formula to do this :
- backup your database through your catalog admin or phpmyadmin or whatever is installed on your server.
- download a copy of your catalog onto your computer
- to save time and loss of hair your should place the install.php inside your copy of your catalog and upload
- log into your admin and restore the sql file that is inside the backup folder or log into phpmyadmin and restore your database directly into the querry window.
